About the Author
Dot Dickinson wrote and published a non-fiction book, Action-Reaction—A Powerful Parenting Model in 1996. This book is a guide to measure action taken against behavior problems and the reactions that can result. A mother of five, this book came from her trial and error experiences and the observation of other parents. The most important endorsement for these basic guidelines came from her daughters when they told her, “We want to pass on the way we were taught to our children.”
In the past, Ms. Dickinson worked in furniture sales and studied interior decorating. She obtained her builder’s license and proceeded to build two homes. In 1980, she founded the magazine, Alabama Singles, that was distributed throughout the state. As Editor and Publisher, she became involved with all aspects of producing the magazine from creative to distribution, sales and promotion.
Deciphering Amber is a book that holds a true story of an extraordinary spiritual journey. Although wrapped in fictional elements, a silver thread of truth runs throughout.
